Our mission
We believe faith should never make travel harder. Our goal is simple: give every Muslim traveler the practical information they need — where to eat halal, where to pray, and what to expect — clearly and honestly, for any city in the world.
The Halal Trust Score™ — our method
Every destination gets a Halal Trust Score from 0 to 5 (shown as /10 on some pages). It is a single value per city, computed from five weighted criteria — never hand-picked to look good:
- Halal restaurant density30%
- Access to mosques & prayer spaces25%
- Ease of finding halal food20%
- Muslim-family friendliness15%
- Traveler infrastructure & safety10%
Important honesty note: a high score does not mean a city is Muslim-majority or alcohol-free. For non-Muslim destinations we label listings « halal options available » rather than « halal verified », and we never claim a city is « alcohol-free » when it isn't. Data comes from our own research combined with OpenStreetMap contributors, and each point of interest carries its source.
How we build our data
Every place we list comes from a verifiable source — Google Maps (real names, real ratings, real review counts) or OpenStreetMap (community-mapped mosques, restaurants, butchers, hotels). Each listing displays its source. If a place is in neither source, it simply does not appear on the site: we never create a venue, a rating or a dish. Cities without enough real data are shown as « guide under construction » rather than padded with fake listings.
